The UK needs more home carers. NHS is blighted by bed-blocking, and patients could go home with a care package if there were enough carers! In the 90s we didnt have enough childminders because it wasn’t seen to be a legitimae career : upskilling and accreditting has changed this. It’s about time the care at home industry wakened up, trained their staff, paid them decent wages, and saved the taxpayer a fortune by easing bed-blocking!
