Speculaion is rife that Shadow Work and Pensions Secretary Liam Byrne may leave his post to seek the Labour Party’s nomination to run for elected mayor of Birmingham.
An announcement is imminent. One of the possible reasons for this move is that Mr Byrne parliamentary seat of Hodge Hill is set to dissappear as a result of proposed boundary changes.
Whilst Mr Byrne is a heavy weight in the party he did himself no favours with his infamous reference to Labour spending all the money
