Welfare to Work ‘has been unfairly targeted’
Andy Hogarth, Chief Executive of Staffline, the welfare-to-work specialists, believes the furore surrounding A4e, Emma Harrison and the welfare-to-work sector as a whole will die down.
Talking to the Nottingham post, he argued that the scheme was being
“unfairly targeted… by a number of interest groups.”
Hogarth believes payment-by-results will help focus welfare-to-work organizations priorities when helping individuals who are long-term unemployed back into work. The point of welfare-to-work is that it is about helping people break the cycle of unemployment and benefits and as such Hogarth firmly believes;
“if we don’t perform we’ll earn diddly-squat and that’s the way it should be!”
