New Skills Forum set to boost Voluntary Sector Presence in the North East

The Stockton Voluntary Sector Employment and Skills Forum has launched an innovative new platform to help bring Voluntary and Community organisations with employment and skills provisions together. This new platform will create a networking and information sharing platform that local providers can use to help develop professional relationships in the county.

Local consortia groups will have the ability to work together and help third-sector organisations in the borough with their volunteering needs. The project is working in tandem with Pentagon Partnership an organisation which works with young adults volunteering in front-line social enterprises in the region. Jon Goodwin, Project Co-Ordinator for Pentagon Partnerships states that this platform “can pay economic and social dividends for local communities and disadvantaged groups in the region.”
