SFA seeks new Commissioners

The Learning and Skills Improvement Service is calling for applications for Commissioners from across the FE and Skills sectors to join the recently announced independent Commission on adult vocational pedagogy.

The Commission, which will be chaired by Frank McLoughlin CBE, principal of City and Islington College, was announced last December to improve adult vocational education. It has been tasked with setting out recommendations to ensure adult learners receive the highest standards of teaching and training.

For the Commission to be a success it will need to draw on the experience and knowledge of colleagues from further education, industry, teacher training and professional associations,” said McLoughlin.

Closing date is 26 March See the application here
