Boost for UK apprenticeships

India’s second largest IT company has announced that it plans to launch an apprenticeship programme in the UK.  Infosys Ltd has announced that it is committed to developing an apprenticeship programme with the National Apprenticeship Service.

The deed of commitment to undertake the programme was signed in the presence of Prince Andrew, Duke of York and Mr Srinath Batni member of the Board and Head of  Delivery Excellence, at Infosys’ headquarters in Bangalore.

Infosys will provide 100 apprenticeships in its UK offices over the next five years.

In response to the announcement Mr Batni stated “We look forward to bringing our world-renowned training and development approaches to help develop and grow skilled workers in the UK”.
