Apprenticeship Review

Entrepreneur, former Dragon’s Den investor, and founder of School for Startups, Doug Richard, will lead the independent review into the future of Apprenticeships in England.

The Richard Review of Apprenticeships, commissioned by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and the Department of Education, will look at how to build upon the success of Apprenticeships in recent years. The Skills Funding Agency has welcomed the review with the report expected in Autumn 2012.

Specifically, the report will look at:

  • Ensuring that apprenticeships meet the needs of the changing economy
  • Ensuring every apprenticeship delivers high quality training and the qualifications and skills that employers need
  • Maximising the impact of Government investment
