Deaf Awareness training for Welfare to Work Providers

Free Deaf Awareness Training for Welfare to Work Providers from Clarion!

Clarion is providing free deaf awareness training for Senior Contract and Supply Chain Managers and Learning and Development Heads in the Welfare to Work Industry. Developed specifically for the industry the overall aim of the training is to develop a level of deaf awareness so your staff can provide an accessible service to customers who are deaf and hard of hearing and develop an understanding of how to support them confidently into sustained employment. The objectives aim to enable your staff to:

  • To become more effective and confident when communicating directly with deaf/hard of hearing people.
  • Understand the barriers faced by deaf/hard of hearing people when trying to access mainstream employment services and employment opportunities.
  • Understand the anxieties and misconceptions held by employers so you can challenge them confidently and constructively and offer solutions.

This free training is an opportunity for you to assess (without cost) whether our employment related Deaf Awareness Training would meet the needs of your front line employment staff.

We believe we have a great product that meets a need and your staff would benefit greatly from this fun, high impact training. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis so be quick if you would like to book a place on your preferred session on Wednesday 5th September 2012.
