Dr. Floyd Millen
Director
Dr Floyd MillenFloyd is a Social Scientist and a political commentator. He is the former Head of Policy for the Centre for Economic and Social Inclusion. Floyd has also been a Programme Director of ‘Building Futures’ a Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) funded initiative with BTEG and Talent which brought the voluntary sector and the private sector together to create jobs.

A former Chief Executive of the Social Policy think tank ROTA and previously worked for the Metropolitan Police Authority (MPA) as an adviser on the implementation of the new Home Office Guidelines on ‘Custody Visiting’. Floyd currently sits on the council of the Hansard Society which works to promote democracy and strengthen parliament and sits on the Board of the ESRC. A former council member of the Deaf Blind charity SENSE 2002-2006 and School Governor of St Michaels School in East Wickham .

Adam Reid
Public Affairs Officer
adam reidAdam Reid is originally from County Down, Northern Ireland and has a degree in politics from the University of Ulster. Upon leaving university Adam worked for a post conflict charity in Northern Ireland working in youth community relations. After working in the voluntary sector Adam completed an internship with Northern Ireland’s largest lobbying firm, Stratagem.
Following his time with Stratagem Adam then undertook a position at the British Chambers of Commerce as a policy and research intern. While he worked in a variety of different policy areas, including transport and regulation, his main focus was on skills and training policy. Adam currently offers support to Yesminister’s clients through high quality advice and guidance on areas relating to public affairs.

Audrey Bencib
Public Affairs Intern

Audrey Bencib is originally from Lyon, France and has a Masters degree in European and International Law and also in European Agriculture and Agro-business Law where she graduated with a First from the Universite Paris I, Pantheon-Sorbonne.

Prior to starting at Yes Minister, Audrey completed an internship at the Agricultural Ministry of France (Paris) in the Office of the Community and External Trade Policies. Whilst here, Audrey was in charge of various commercial subjects concerning the French food and beverage industry. She was tasked with analyzing European and International legal documents concerning agricultural issues where she would often propose French amendments and attend negotiations in Brussels and the OECD.

 Fatima Husain
Senior consultant Researcher

Fatima has 15 years of policy research experience and is an experience qualitative researcher.  She has worked in the not-for-profit, charitable and academic sectors and is currently based at the Policy Studies Institute, University of Westminster.  She has worked in a research capacity at the Family and Parenting Institute, Save the Children UK and the Centre for Economic and Social Inclusion

Her expertise includes the design, management and delivery of qualitative studies and components of programme evaluations. She has substantial expertise of conducting research with government, voluntary sector and business programme stakeholders as well as service users and disadvantaged and vulnerable groups.

Lucia Durante
Consultant Researcher

Lucia has eight years experience in public policy research.  Her recent roles as a qualitative researcher at the Policy Studies Institute (PSI) and the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) have given her the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects in different policy areas.

Lucia has extensive experience of qualitative methods, such as focus groups, deliberative workshops and in-depth and semi-structured interviews, with a range of stakeholders from business, government and the voluntary sector. She is confident at adapting the analysis and dissemination of data according to the needs of the client and has enjoyed public speaking experience in a variety of policy, business and public forums.

Dr Andy Williamson
Associate
Andy WilliamsonDr Andy Williamson is a highly experienced consultant, researcher and commentator with a passion for and in-depth understanding of the effective use of social media, digital engagement and digital policy. He delivers successful projects across civil society, local and central government and transnational organisations in a number of countries and is a well-known commentator and public speaker. Andy holds a PhD from Monash University, Australia and was previously Director of Digital Democracy at the Hansard Society and an adviser to the New Zealand Government.

David Johnson
Associate
David JohnsonDavid has been a senior director for a number of public services within local authorities and FE colleges. He has advised local authorities on social policy and implementation of major government early interventions such as Children’s Fund, Sure Start and the Common Assessment Framework as well as undertaking reviews, evaluations and research studies for public, private and third sector organisations.

He is an experienced facilitator and teacher delivering accredited personal development courses, diversity training and a qualified assessor and internal verifier for vocational qualifications.

He is a Fellow of the Institute for Leadership and Management (FInstLM), and Member of the Institute for learning (MInstLM).
