The Institute of Public Policy Research (IPPR) published Now It’s Personal: Learning from welfare-to-work approaches around the world. This document consists of a collection of brief essays which analyse and exhibit international experiences. More specifically, it examines the role of the personal adviser as a method of investigating how policy can accomplish its goal of providing personalised employment support and advice.
The papers contained within this document reinforce the argument for citizen focused welfare. They provide guidance as well as warnings to the UK’s government and providers working within different sectors with regards to making a single work programme financially viable and receptive to constituents’ requirements.
