Apprentices in London could claim a 30 per cent travel reduction
Mayor of London Boris Johnson has underscored his support for apprenticeships by promising that if he is re-elected, all apprentices working in the capital will be entitled to claim the same 30 per cent reduction on their Oyster travel card as full-time students in London.
Mr Johnson wishes to encourage apprenticeship and to reduce the rising cost of living for young apprentices. The Mayor has also reaffirmed his objective to sign up 100,000 apprentices in order to fight London’s youth unemployment.
