Crime does pay for bank robbers but only if they stop after the third raid.
A recent study has proved that in fact crime does pay and that the wages of robbery is £36,00 until they do the fourth robbery.
However the research undertaken by the University of Sussex and Surrey into unique data held by the British Bankers Association has found that most criminals actually earns £12,706 which is less than the average UK employee.
The research found that one in three bank robber flee the scene of the crime empty handed.
Professional Neil Rickman of the University of Surrey outlined that the findings show how bank robbery is “a poorly paid career path”.
